How to add an avatar from Gravatar to the QtDevNet profile
Register at Gravatar.com [gravatar.com]
Use LogIn/SignUp —> Sign Up and create a gravatar account.
For email address, use the same as you used for registering at QtDevNet.
TIP : don’t use capital letters in you email because the Gravatar MD5 check will not correspond (foo@mail.org is not the same as Foo@mail.org) and you will not see your avatar in here.
Finish registration by using the link from the email and filling in the form.
Add an image and verify it
If you log in, you see a page with your gravatars.
If you don’t see this page, click “My Account” —> “Manage My Gravatars”
Click on “Add one by clicking here!” to add an image and load an image up.
On the next page, you can select the rating for your gravatar:
Click on “rated G” (if this fits your image, the ratings are displayed below).
If something went wrong, or you want to change your gravatar or the rating, you go to manage your gravatars again:
If you hover the image with the mouse, there are two icons appearing:
Now click on the rating icon and rate your gravatar like described above.
Then click on the image to select it for the given mail address, that’s it.
Now wait some seconds or minutes and it should work.
[ It can take 7 days before it is actually visible on devnet, so be patient]
