Project name: Akademy-es 2012
Project Purpose: The KDE Spain association, with the collaboration of the Clúster de Entidades Pro Software Libre de Aragón, the Zaragoza Council and the Fundación Zaragoza Ciudad del Conocimiento will organize in the Akademy-es 2012 in Zaragoza, the yearly meeting of KDE developers and users in Spain, during the days 18th, 19th and 20th May 2012.
During the last editions of the event, the assistance and technical quality of the event has increased by making the Akademy-es one of the most important KDE events worldwide.
- During the event we will have talks, workshops and other social activities to:
- Gather Qt/KDE enthusiasts from around Spain, so that they can talk about the projects they’re working on, share code, experiences and knowledge.
- Show and explain the KDE project and its workspace to people without a technical profile.
- Explain the KDE technologies, both to new developers and users who are interested in understanding how their KDE system works.
And of course, that we all enjoy learning more about Free Software and KDE.
How the project relates to using Qt? KDE is by definition tied to its Qt roots since many years ago. In this event, many talks will happen either displaying software built on top of Qt or by explaining how to develop stuff on either raw Qt or Qt with different technologies.
How does a sponsorship gain Qt? There are different benefits of being a sponsor, these are discussed here: http://kde-espana.es/akademy-es2012/descripcionpatrocinios.php?site_locale=en . If you don’t find any that fits your needs, please contact us and we will be able to find some way to work together.
Timeline The event will happen between the 18th and 20th May.
