how to create an xcode 4 project from a .pro?

on Mac Lion from 4.7.4 or 4.8 beta i have a qt .pro project that runs fine, i am trying to make it an xcode 4 project…

the qmake -spec macx-xcode does not give any error but when trying to open the new project with xcode 4 i have an assertion failure and xcode 4 crashes!

Is there a way to generate an xcode 4 project from a .pro on Lion????

Thank you for your feed back

Currently we don’t provide a solution for this, but Digia is working on a solution for generating xcode projects on Lion that should be available to Nokia sometime soon.

Digia yesterday announced that a merge request has been started:

Today, I submitted a merge request to Nokia that completes and makes available the XCode 4 support that was previously available to customers as a patch for Qt 4.7.x. The patch itself will be included in the Qt 4.8.0 RC release as released by Qt Commercial and also in the final release as well. An updated patch will be made available to customers for usage against Qt 4.7.x too.

Additionally Qt bugs QTBUG-21439 [bugreports.qt.nokia.com], QTBUG-17247 [bugreports.qt.nokia.com] and
QTBUG-7953 [bugreports.qt.nokia.com] have been fixed.

So, is there a fix for this? Is there no way for me to make an Xcode project? I have Qt 4.8.0 RC.

No, 4.8.0 still has no support for XCode 4.
You should update to the release anyways.
