APP TRK on 5530

Hi everyone,
I am new to QT SDK, i start my work for Symbian devices, connect it through usb cable, i have installed App TRK 3.20(8) on my phone, but no where i see its icon, from where i can start it, its not in applications, and its not in main menu.
When i run any example for my device and run it through QT creator, it says, it is waiting for App TRK on the device.
Can you please tell me from where i can start TRK and run my programs to the nokia device.

Thanks

For me TRK tends to get added into some developer tools folder in the main menu view (not the Program ones). The main view normally is already “full” and the new folder gets appended, so it is off-screen. Normally you can not flick the main view either, so it took me ages to find the entry, too.

There is a folder called “RnD Tools” created in you main menu and TRK gets added to that folder. Or at least that’s how it happens in my C7.

The below link has detailed information about how to deploy and debug Qt application in Symbian devices..

I have folder “RnD Tools” in my main menu, but there is nothing in it. this folder is empty.
Also i have followed the steps given in the tutorial, but still when i try to debug the project or run the project, it waits for the App TRK and continues to do so.

That basically means that your TRK application is not installed on to the phone. Can you find TRK in Settings => Application manager => Installed apps… you should have “App TRK” there.

If you don’t have it there, try to reinstall TRK and make sure that its there in the phone before you try to debug.

The only advise I can give is try to find it. It must be somewhere in the phone or try another phone??

I’m having the same problem as you on my 5230.
I’ve already installed the App TRK on my 5230, it looks like installed but I can’t find it on the mobile therefore I can’t launch it before deploying my project from Qt.

Does anyone help us to fix this problem?

Tobias Hunger mentioned that he wasn’t able to scroll down the main menu. That happened to me as well at a 5230. But the scrolling was later on fixed by updating the firmware of the device to the latest.

I’ve solved the problem updating the firmware onto the device.
