Qt on android
I’m curios any plans from Nokia or qt guys to support the port to android? An official supported version (tier 1 or 2 support) of qt for android will draw more developers to qt. Necessitas suite is very good, don’t know how mobility stands but with a bit of polish that could be a great product. it seems that mono droid and mono for iphone have some success i’m guessing qt for android at least to have the same success.

There it is: http://code.google.com/p/android-lighthouse/
I know about the port im using it just curios if the port will be included as part of official qt package sdk and maybe get some love from qt developers at nokia.
as for mono link here you go http://mono-android.net/ and http://monotouch.net/
Lighthouse is a project designed to easily make ports to different platforms. The android Qt port is using exactly that.
I do wonder what you mean by ‘official’. Is that a Nokia supported port? I wouldn’t count on it. Besides, since Qt is going Open Governance, community efforts are probably going to be ‘official’ slightly easier.
the port doesn’t work on 2.3.2 os and 3.0 os. i am gonna dig into it.Where have you found that?
Because I have both 2.3.2 and 3.0 devices, the first thing I did with them was trying the Qt port.
2.3.2 crashes when downloading the library.
3.0 gives black screen and also crashes occasionally.
If I have time, I will look at the android-lighthouse project.
