Installing Qt on Ubuntu 11.4 ???
Hi
I want to start programming with Qt but have problems installing it !
I installed these packages from Ubuntu Software Center :
Qt 4 Designer
Qt 4 Assistant
Qt Creator
Qt 4 Linguist
Qt 4 Settings
Qt Designer executes but I cannot find Qt Simulator and on Projects the Qt version = “Invalid Qt version” !
then I downloaded Qt_SDK_Lin64_online_v1_1_en.run to install it manually but this error appeared :
Could not fetch Updates.xml: Error downloading http://nds2.fds-forum.nokia.com/nokiaqtsdkrepository/fremtiden/linux/x64/online_qtsdk_repo/Updates.xml – server replied: Forbidden
But I can download Updates.xml with my browser !
How can I add and use Qt Simulator ?
Thanks

I am not aware of ubuntu packages for the simulator or the device SDKs. You will need the Qt SDK for those.
Did you try again to run the online installer? Please file a bug report [bugreports.qt.nokia.com] if the problem persists! The installer should always be able to fetch its updates…
I’m sure that the online installation procedure is working.BR
Thanks … then there is a problem with my network :(
Where can I find the Linux 64bit Offline Installer ?
Use this link ;) http://qt.nokia.com/downloads/sdk-linux-x11-64bit-cpp
Thanks … but this is the online installer and does not work for me :( Is there any offline installer ?
I’m sorry, it’s this link:
http://get.qt.nokia.com/qtsdk/Qt_SDK_Lin64_offline_v1_1_en.run
