What does “block” mean in QTextCursor?

 

Is it a word, a sentence, or a paragraph?

I noticed that the document says QTextCursor::block() returns “the block that contains the cursor”, but I’m not sure what does “block” mean here.

Well, it obviously refers to a QTextBlock, the type returned by that method. And a QTextBlock

encapsulates a block or paragraph of text in a QTextDocument.

according to the documentation.
