Hi.I’m a Qt ambassador since mid 2011, but I never received my Kit. I thought kits were not being sent any more.
What should I do to get my kit ?
Thanks, and congratulations on the smooth site move.

Well, man. Maybe they sent it to you, but TNT (the courier) loves to steal phones and kits. They stole mine. Im awaiting some investigation to finish.

Well, I’m in Guatemala, so I hope that’s not the case. I’ve received other packages from Nokia (from different countries) and have never had issues with them.
Good luck with yours.
@cadlg: Hi! You register for the kit from a link you get after submitting your project to the Qt Ambassador Showcase (qt.nokia.com/showcase). As far as I can see, your project is not submitted yet, this can be done from the program portal. If you have problems signing in to the portal / submitting your project, please send me an email at: qt-ambassador@nokia.com and I’ll send you some instructions! :-)

Thanks Marianne.
I Guess I will wait until I finish my current project.
So, it took some time but I want to post here a evidence that I made good use of my Qt Ambassador kit. :D
I just portet my MeeGo application ClipMan [bit.ly] also for Symbian! Yay! :)
I had never planed to port my MeeGo Harmattan application. I had no compatible Symbian device at home. But thanks to your program I got the motivation to do the needed work. Just because of this lovely Nokia C7. :)
And a Tipp for all ovi / Nokia store publishers:
Sadly I selected last year the MeeGo platform for the publishing content instead of Qt Application. Because of this I had to create a totally different content item for the Symbian application. (just in case someone is interested, the download link for the symbian version is different: Link [bit.ly]) – So to avoid to get the same issues as myself. Always select Qt Application if you publish a Qt Application. It will help to avoid a lot of trouble. :)
Again, Thanks a lot. While creating my newest project I already prepared the source to make porting to symbian as easy as possible. And to be clear, the packaging and signing is the hardest part. The resolutions issues are very small. And also the Qt Components related parts are easily solvable. Qt ist just great! :)
Qt FTW! :D
Hi,
Seems I’m not getting email notifications about new posts anymore – Sorry for the delay in answering you!
Iktwo: No news I’m afraid. We are encouraged to not send more parcels to Mexico atm, if you have suggestions for an alternative recipient ( family member, friend) outside Mexico that might be able to bring the package to you, please email the info to qt-ambassador@nokia.com.
Adnan: That depends on the queue of projects pending approval. I’ll have a look and try to upload it shortly.
BikeAtor: You will get an email notification shortly before the kit is sent. We are currently waiting for a batch of new devices, so there has been a while since the last shipment. Sorry about the delay!
