Look into QLibrary [doc.trolltech.com].

Take a look at the LIBS variable in the qmake manual, that is available in the documentation that was installed with your Qt installation.

For clarification: Use QLibrary for runtime loading, use the LIBS variable in your pro file for compile time linking.

You’re absolutely right of course, Franzk. Subhash, could you clarify if you want to load the library at runtime, or if you want to link to it at compile time?

Thanks for the help…..
I need to load a dll file at compile time and can i get information on LIBS variable…do I need to include Qlibrary to call LIBS variable or can it be accessed directly…

You do not need QLibrary if you link at compile time (that is using the LIBS variable in your .pro file).
