How long does Nokia considered for accepting projects?

Page

Probably it’s a chance for programmers to show their genius on creating interesting softwares using Qt and to be supported financially or technically by Nokia group. Many programmers will be started or go for completing their projects to participate in this program. It’s so important to know how long does Nokia considered for accepting projects?

Of which project (support of Nokia for own projects) of Nokia are you talking?

It’s the Qt Ambassador program’s forum – so I think it’s about this one :-)

As far as I know the runtime or application time is not limited.

Thanks volker! As i seen in ambassador info page, you must have a live project to apply and this is why i think there should be a limited time for applying (like a competition). Do you mean that it’s a lifetime program from Nokia?

AFAIK Qt Ambassador program does not provide any financial support right? Even it does not mention anything about any technical support.

I see no reason, why it should be limited. When a great application comes out in a few years it would deserve the label too.

But that’s all a bit of speculation, let’s wait until the Trolls are back from the holidays. I’m sure, Karen will leave an answere here.

It won’t be limited. It seems to be some what like S60 Ambassador. Only change would be going further the competition to showcase Qt app will be tougher.

Good day all! There is not a limited time for applying to this program. Our goal is to grow the database of Qt Ambassadors and showcase all the great applications that are possible with Qt.

Why we ask for a “live” project? This is mostly because the goal of the program is to showcase applications, systems, devices etc built with Qt. We need to have the rights to show screenshots and information detailing the project on our site. We also might want to use these projects as showcases at various events we attend or recommend them as applications to our customers etc. A finished project or almost finished is more appropriate :-)

What is considdered a “live” project? For instance, the project I submitted currently has a bit of a lack of updates on the websites at the moment. However, it is very much alive.

What we consider a “live” project: Project that it is not in a testing phase and has entered into either a Beta or TP phase. It needs to be as comfortably bug-free as possible (!) where when downloaded it functions as specified.

Sigh …

I read only now this project, after submitting a request for the ambassador program. This should be related to a project that I think interesting for the community and Nokia, but I misunderstood what is means “live”. No where is specified (or I don’t find) that live means in a beta versions. This project is only started and is in a prior phase…

Someone know if it is possible to modify the request ?

Thks
