How to update translations in the wiki?

We are getting more and more translations in the wiki. Is there a way to mark which page is a translation of which? That would be really helpful to mark the translations as in need for an update once the original page gets changed.
Maybe we can we (ab)use the tagging system for this? Any ideas?

Tagging seems not so convincing to me. It would create a unique tag for every single wiki page.
We do already have a kind of link to a more appropriate wiki page. Maybe this could be extended to hold the translated pages.
In an ideal world the wiki itself would know of the concept of translations. But maybe the would tend more and more towards a full featured web CMS?
Maybe a Wikipedia like solution would be good. So if there are available translation of a wiki article, we could display it, just like the way it’s on the wiki home page.
Or a more propriate way would be to only display the user’s native language translation link to avoid “irrelevan” links to the user. An extra feature could be that the user could choose the default language (or maybe some extra), so he/she could automatically see the stuff on his/her language if there is an available translation from it. Of course we should always display a link to the original arcticle.
In that way, we could put a cool button to switch between languages on an article. But we also should put a smaller link to all available languages of the article.
Yeah, I know, and I appreciate there work much. That’s why was my first idea is to add links like on the wiki home page for available languages of the article. It should do it for now I think.
I think a link always should be displayed on the translated one poining to the original. Maybe we can come up with something to customise it more user frendly than simple links for making life easier. For example a switch button (with the link, setted by the editor of the translator, to the original wiki), or something else.
These are quite easy to implement solutions, the first one is just an ask to the wiki editors :)
Oh, I’m sorry Denis! Somehow I accidentally skipped that post, I see what your are saying now.
Maybe I’m wrong again, but it feels a real “(ab)use”, as Tobias said on the Tagging system for me. Please explain it, why is this is better and easier to implement, and make it only visible for that certain article (or have loads of tags), than adding an extra field to the editor and an extra little property to the article? Don’t misundertand me, I’m just trying to understand all possibilities, to make the perfect suggestion :)
Oh, and Alexandra have mentioned it somewhere, that she want to figure out a certain way to rename the translated getting started guides to make life easier, so I think this also can be interesting for her.
Sorry, maybe it’s because it’s late now, but I think I still don’t understand everything perfectly.

I hope tomorrow, with more energy, we will come up with something to Tobias’ post, because it would be really helpful for everyone.
