[SOLVED] SDK install ubuntu 12.04 unity 2D not working.

just installed ubuntu 12.04 lts and am running using the default unity2d login.

I’ve just started the SDK installer (used both online and offline) and when I get to the choice of where to install use the default,

on pressing next I get a giant (and I mean really massive 10 times the width of a screen) window which is blank. I can’t do any type of install at all. (this is usually where you get to choose what to install)

Has anyone else encountered this problem (basic vanilla install at the moment) and if so what is the solution (apart from going back to 10.4!) am getting quite a few Gtk-CRITICAL IA__gtk_widget_style_get assertions failures in the terminal but not sure why.

Any help would be appreciated, will down load the source at some stage and see how I get on.

It would be good if you post a link to the bug report here. Would make it easier for others to track. Thanks.

Yeah was getting this too. Once I got a dialog popping up, stating that “colord” had crashed. After that the Xorg (X Window) process was taking up 100% of the CPU time and little else was happening :)
