I think “Desktop” (resp. “Embedded & Mobile”) would fit best if you have a question about how to do something in your code.

“Brainstorm” is intended to be more for ideas and how to approach a problem than actual coding.

For me it looks reasonable, but not like flags at phpBB or other forums. They should look like rank icons. I mean in such style.

We have Q&A threads (think stackoverflow.com) on the wish list for v2.0 of this site. It’s a very clever feature for sure.
