What benefit should I have using Qt under VS instead of using only VS?

Well, I don’t know if I understood right, but Visual Studio doesn’t have builtin Qt ;)
If you’re talking about the vs-addin [developer.qt.nokia.com], the only benefit to use it is if you’re used to VS interface and want to keep using it. Otherwise, the usual Qt SDK works fine.
Or are you talking about using Qt on Windows, in Visual Studio, as opposed to the libraries and tools that Microsoft ships? This would open a huge can of worms, but some things I can immediately think of are more consistent, powerful API, code will compile on other platforms such as Linux, OSX, Symbian, with little or no modification.
The answer is that M$ does NOT permit it.
Thanks.
