Google Wave

So I realise Nokia and Google are Phone competitors and all, but this looks too cool (although possibly not so useful?) to miss out on.

Has anyone found a proper use for the collaborative side of it though?

I’m giving it a test run designing some software with a friend, but it hasn’t quite proven itself yet.

Marius and myself gave it a test run on a Friday afternoon and we could both see how it might become useful. It has been a while since I checked but it felt like they are just not quite there yet. We’ll see.

Yes, it still seems a bit sluggish, but shows promise.

I have not looked at how hard it is to build extensions, thats my next job. We shall see…

last time i checked the permission system wasn’t there at all, so everyone invited could read and write as they want. no idea if they managed to improve it.

Unfortunately, Wave was a great idea with a less than perfect implementation, poor usability and awful integration into existing systems.

Did they really think they can kill e-mail?
