	Position and duties:
Under the responsibility of the Computer Assisted Surgery Manager, your tasks will include:
	
		Project management in conjunction with a Mechanical Project Manager and a Marketing Product Manager
		Requirements analysis
		Development planning
		Drafting of technical specifications
		Design and development in accordance with current medical standards, especially EN 62304
		Production of models
		Drafting of the technical dossier in accordance with European Directive 93/42 and 2007/47
		Testing
		Participation in development meetings with surgeons
	

	Profile:
Master of Science in Computer Science, Engineering or Equivalent Qt experience

	Experience:
	
		This position requires a professional experience at least 2 years in an equivalent function, ideally in the same industry (medical device R&amp;amp;D).
		Experience in medical software development is very beneficial
	

	Specific knowledge required:
	
		Solid knowledge of C++ programming, Subversion
		Long&#45;term experience in software development with Qt
		Experience with Qt Quick is very beneficial
		Experience with JavaScript is very beneficial
		Project Management
		Strong concepts of 3D: OpenGL, Shaders
		Knowledge of Design Patterns
	

	Language:
Fluent in French (mandatory)
Technical English

One company, a medical devices company is located in The Hague (three vacancies) at a location easily accessible by public transport and the other, a camera technology based company is located in Gouda. 

	The company is the Hague has the following vacancy:

	i&#45;Optics is a leading pioneer in the development of superior eye diagnosis solutions that are affordable, fast and easy to use by care providers to better serve patients across the world in the most convenient way. Our product pipeline includes the EasyScan, Cassini and EyePrevent. The EasyScan is a fast and easy to use retinal imaging system based on SLO technology for the diagnosis of Diabetic Retinopathy, AMD and Glaucoma. The Cassini is a first of its kind corneal topographer based on the principle of color coded topography, which allows for superior diagnosis for contact lens fitting, corneal transplant and LASIK surgery. EyePrevent is an integrated service for screening of diabetes patients and others on retinal diseases that could lead to blindness.
The initial product development phase leading to the first products is successfully finished and i&#45;Optics is now making the transition from R&amp;amp;D to Marketing &amp;amp; Sales. We are looking for ambitious professionals to take on this challenge together and make the difference.
Currently i&#45;Optics employs approximately 30 people. In addition, there is an international distribution network and a new office in the U.S.A. . The objective is to employ 50 people within 2 years. The corporate culture can be described as collaborative, creative and always striving to improve in order to be the best. 	Responsibilities:
	
		Design &amp;amp; implement software in compliance with FDA/CE medical standards based on requirements, using UML and C++ in combination with Qt.
		Work with one of &#8211; or a combination of the following techniques:
	
		image processing and pattern recognition
		advanced GUI development
		secure connectivity and data security (encryption)
		real&#45;time data acquisition and data processing,
		advanced SQL manipulation.
	
	

	Who will you be working with?
The software development team consists of 7 people, managed by the project manager R&amp;amp;D and is growing rapidly. You will work together with other engineering disciplines like Electrical&#45;, Optical&#45; and Mechanical engineering and with other departments like Marketing &amp;amp; Sales, Operations, Service and QA/RA.

	Who are we looking for?
You have at least:
	
		A bachelor in ICT or another relevant area
		Some experience in C++ programming
		0&#45;5 years of experience in software development using an Object Oriented language
