Hello everyone!

I am interested in preparing the Qt Essentials Cerificate and for that I would like to buy a book (only one or maximum two). I saw the books that are listed here [qt.nokia.com], these are:

C++ GUI Programming with Qt 4, 1st and 2nd Edition, by Jasmin Blanchette, Mark Summerfield.
Foundations of Qt Development, by Johan Thelin
An Introduction to Design Patterns in C++ with Qt 4, by Alan Ezust, Paul Ezust
The Book of Qt 4: The Art of Building Qt Applications by Daniel Molkentin

But apparently no one treats completelly all the exam’s subjects. Could you tell me (if you know them) which is the best ?

	Thanks in advance!

I sent a request about adding badge through http://developer.qt.nokia.com/contact more than 10 days ago – and there is no any reply yet.

By studying some previous topics – seems sometime ago somebody ‘reacted’ in 1-2 working day, but it might be that the situation is changed already.

Please could somebody clarify, what is the current waiting time? Is it less than 1 month, will I receive a reply still in December (better before Christmas, of course), or not?

Anyway, it would be nice to send at least ‘automatic notification’ somehow.

…Do you have any input on what you think it should be?

…Regarding the statistics, at this time we do not openly publish the results of how many people have passed the exam.

…Have you already taken any of the Qt Certification exams? If not, are you considering doing so?

Input: I think, the future exam consists of the above mentioned issues. Some of the chapters are left from the selected bibliography ( http://qt.nokia.com/learning/certification/exams/preparation-prerequisites/qt-curriculum/qt-essentials/materials and http://qt.nokia.com/learning/certification/exams/preparation-prerequisites/qt-curriculum/widget-ui-with-qt/materials ) I hope the next exam will contain these topics with some QML issues.

Statistics: I was only curios :)

Exams: And yes, I have all the three exam passed (Essential, C++ and Widget). Now I’m learning the QML :)

What you find here:

and here:

that will be enough for the exam (sure, I passed this exam).
Buy (or download :)) these books, read them and you will pass this exam successfully. The exam itself is not so hard.

I have read here:
http://qt.nokia.com/learning/certification/exams/exam-details
that the next exam is in progress:

“Future specialized exams may cover topics such as 2D and 3D graphics, networking,
Qt WebKit, processing data, Qt Quick basics as well as advanced use.”

Does anybody know about this exam’s state?

	One more question:
can I read somewhere any statistics about how many people passed the exams?

Hi all
I will take the Qt Essential Exam in 20 days
In the curriculum I found this objective:
XML in basics only

Do they mean just th XML file structure or the XML module like Dom and SAX API.

If someone took the exam, I can’t find exam samples, did they ask difficult questions regarding the API, do you have to remember lot of API functions or the focus was on the skills of programming and basic API knowledge.

	Regards
